What is Buttock Implant Surgery?
Buttock augmentation is a cosmetic procedure to reshape and enhance the buttocks region. Dr. Alejandro gives Elaen patients a more defined buttock with volume — and improves the overall shape of the area. Elaen Plastic Surgery Center uses the following techniques:
Fat Transfer. Liposuction is used to remove fat from the flanks, abdomen and various areas. This fat is then clinically processed and implemented to sculpt the new shape of the buttocks. Through the technique of fat grafting, fat cells are transferred from unwanted areas to scarce areas of the buttock. Fat can be taken from areas, such as the abdomen, hips, back, or thighs.
Buttock Implants. Buttock implants are used for patients who do not have sufficient excess fat in other areas of their body to be used for fat grafting. The implants are made of solid silicone and feel comparable to a natural, well-toned muscle. Incisions are made where the buttocks meet the back of the thighs or down the crease between the buttocks. The implants are inserted into the pocket above the pelvic bone and either under or over the muscle.
